Bracken Puppy was started in 2008 by husband and wife, Charles and Vera Drummond. Vera is a qualified animal behaviourist and has trained 40 National Champions and multiple international champions in obedience, working trials and tracking. She regularly attends local and international courses in Schutzhund, Tellington Touch, Obedience, Behaviour and Kennel management. She is the President and Professional trainer at the Doberman and all Breeds Club in Marks Park and regularly gives motivational and training seminars across the country and abroad.

Since Charles' passing in 2017, Bracken Puppy day care is run by Vera and she offers on site puppy classes through the Bracken Puppy Headstart Programme, sponsored by Eukanuba.
